San Francisco, CA – On the heels of one of its most effective years and in the midst of the hottest real estate market in decades, CREW SF (Commercial Real Estate Women, San Francisco chapter) elected a new president to lead the organization over the next year. Nancy Lundeen, Partner with Allen Matkins, succeeds Helen Duong as President of the professional association whose mission is to advance women as leaders in commercial real estate. With a membership base of over 225 Bay Area real estate professionals, CREW SF is part of CREW Network, one of the strongest commercial real estate federations in North America.
“Nancy Lundeen is a distinguished commercial real estate attorney, and CREW SF is delighted to welcome her as our next president,” said Helen Duong, Lease Administration Manager with Boston Properties and outgoing CREW SF President. “With Nancy’s high-profile career and powerful network, she is a perfect fit to lead CREW SF members at this time of incredible opportunity.”
Lundeen, a graduate of Stanford University and Stanford Law School, was selected for the Northern California Real Estate Woman of Influence Hall of Fame in 2013, and was recently selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of Real Estate Law for 2013-2014. Lundeen will implement CREW SF’s new strategic plan and oversee the group’s revised mission, which were both adopted under Duong’s leadership. Duong also led CREW SF’s fundraising efforts, which brought in nearly $125,000 in sponsorship dollars in 2013 alone.
“Helen has left the Chapter in a strong position to deliver on its mission. She has been a prodigious fundraiser and has laid out a clear and inspiring vision for CREW SF,” said incoming President Lundeen. “We are in a great a place to focus on the goals of recognizing and promoting women leaders in the real estate industry and helping develop those leadership skills.”
CREW SF members include industry leaders and senior-level executives, as well as emerging real estate professionals. Transbay development projects, the Exploratorium, the SFJazz Center and the SF Public Safety Building are among the high-profile projects in which CREW SF members have played key roles. In addition to offering events for networking and professional development, CREW SF presents forums on the latest trends and innovations in commercial real estate.
