SAN JOSE – The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Silicon Valley announced today that it has awarded four Silicon Valley commercial properties with the organization’s prestigious “The Outstanding Building of the Year” (TOBY®) Award.

“BOMA Silicon Valley represents the region’s top commercial real estate companies, and our annual TOBY Awards give us a chance to honor their exceptional buildings and the teams that manage them,” said BOMA Silicon Valley President Noreen Castillo. “This year, we’re proud to award four buildings that continue to push the envelope on energy sustainability, tenant service, and building safety.”

The TOBY in the Renovated Category was awarded to Techmart, located at 5201 Great America Parkway. It is managed by Senior Property Manager LaToya Ross of Hudson Pacific Properties and owned by Hudson Pacific Properties. The building is located in the heart of Silicon Valley in Santa Clara, just three miles from the San Jose International Airport, adjacent to the Santa Clara Convention Center and a short walk to Levi’s Stadium. It is a five-story, 285,000 square feet Class A Building. It was built in 1985 and substantial renovations started in 2016.

“This award is a testament to our entire Techmart team—from property management, to security, to engineering to janitorial,” said Senior Property Manager LaToya Ross. “We collaborate every day to make Techmart a great place for our employees and tenants to come to work, and it is an honor to be recognized for the enhancements we’ve made to the property. We are particularly proud of the renovations we’ve made that contribute to our building’s health and sustainability, such as our new bike storage facility, state-of-the-art fitness center and ample usable outdoor space to maximize access to fresh air.”
