Multifamily Broker Jumps from Jones Lang to Competitor

By Sharon Simonson

Jordan Moss, who joined Jones Lang LaSalle in San Francisco in mid-2010, has jumped to rival brokerage CBRE Inc., where he has been named a first vice president in its Bay Area Multi-Housing Group.

Moss joined Jones Lang as a vice president in July 2010 as part of the firm’s Bay Area multifamily group and as part of a larger push by JLL to expand the platform. At the time, the company said Moss was one of 46 people in its national multifamily group, which had doubled in size in the previous two years.

Moss has 10 years of experience in the multifamily industry and in 2010 was said to have sourced, negotiated and structured the acquisition of more than $400 million in commercial real estate. The CoStar Group ranked him one of its 2011 San Francisco Power Brokers. The ranking is based on the value of all properties sold by the broker, whether acting as a buyer or seller’s advocate. Only third-party transactions are included.

Moss has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Davis.
