Showplace ICON Theatre Coming to The Village At San Antonio Center in Mountain View, CA, Representing Second New Silicon Valley Location

Kerasotes Showplace Theatres, dba ShowPlace ICON Theatre has leased ±50,700 square feet of space at The Village at San Antonio Center in Mountain View, CA. ShowPlace ICON is a fairly new concept from the Kerasotes family, a Chicago-based theater operator with over 100 years of experience. This would represent just the second ShowPlace ICON theater in the western U.S., with the other location recently announced at San Jose’s Westfield Valley Fair also in Silicon Valley. There are currently two locations officially in operation in Chicago and St. Louis Park, MN. Owned by MerloneGeier Partners, The Village at San Antonio Center is a new Safeway-anchored mixed-use project located at San Antonio Road and El Camino Real at the confluence of Mountain View, Palo Alto and Los Altos. ShowPlace ICON is anticipated to open at The Village in 2017. Matt Kircher with Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Services group represented Showplace ICON in both Silicon Valley transactions.

ShowPlace ICON looks to redefine the movie-watching experience, by featuring modern design and delectable dining, reserved seating and state-of-the-art cinematic technology. The company is looking to expand in additional major markets per its web site. The ShowPlace ICON concept includes VIP Premium Reserved seating for guests 21 and older with large, leather, sofa-style chairs.
