Total Woman Gym + Spa Signs New Membership at Sunnyvale Shopping Center
November 5, 2013 – Annie Jabuka, Michael Seigel and Jennifer Hibbitts with Terranomics Retail Services collaborated to represent both parties in a 10,921-square-foot lease between The Leung Trust and Total Woman Gym + Spa at the Sunnyvale Shopping Center. Total Woman penned a long-term agreement with an opening in the center scheduled spring of 2014. The Big-5 anchored center is located SWC Sunnyvale-Saratoga and El Camino Real. Notably, Total Woman also recently opened in San Jose at the El Paseo De Saratoga shopping center. Total Woman Gym + Spa is the largest, full-service gym and day spa in California. Started in 1965, the company has more than 40 years to helping women achieve their health, fitness and wellness goals. Jabuka and Hibbitts represented Total Gym and Jabuka and Seigel represented The Leung Trust in the transaction.

New Village Oaks Shopping Center in South San Jose Adds Ulta Salon
November 5, 2013 – Todd Oliver and James Chung with Terranomics Retail Services represented owner/developer Hunter Storm Properties in a new lease with Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. at the new Target-anchored Village Oaks shopping center in South San Jose. Ulta Salon signed a long-term lease for 10,125 square feet of inline space at the new center. Village Oaks is currently under construction with an anticipated opening in spring 2014. In addition to Target, Village Oaks has secured several retailers including, Safeway, Marshall’s, Petco, Panera Bread, and Chase with many more tenants to be announced in the very near future.

Family-Owned Hassett ACE Hardware Adding New NorCal Location in Redwood City
November 5, 2013 – Jon Stansbury with Terranomics Retail Services in collaboration with Matt Stephens of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented tenant Hassett ACE Hardware in the lease of 11,287 square feet of inline space at Woodside Plaza in Redwood City. Hassett is scheduled to open in early 2014 at the Lucky’s-anchored center located along Woodside Road. Started in 1957, Hassett ACE Hardware is a third-generation, family-owned, local business that also operates locations in Half Moon Bay, Palo Alto, San Mateo and Willow Glen.

Dollar Tree Stores Continues Growth in Sacramento Valley Region
November 5, 2013 – Jared Dong and Bob Dong with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Dollar Tree Stores in a new 9,482-square-foot lease at Parkway Plaza shopping center in Lincoln (Sacramento Valley). The center is owned by Parkway Sterling Investors, LLC. Dollar Tree is set to open later this year, joining other key retailers in the project Lowe’s, McDonald’s, and Red Robin.

Jos. A. Bank Finds Right Fit at Prominent Corner in Downtown Walnut Creek
November 5, 2013 – Trish Gonsalves with Terranomics Retail Services represented the owners, which are descendants of the pioneer Walnut Creek family of Joseph and Constantine Silveira, in the lease of a 4,000-square-foot freestanding building in Walnut Creek to high-quality clothier Jos. A Bank.  The building is located at 1403 N Main Street, situated on a prominent corner in downtown Walnut Creek’s pedestrian retail district. It was formerly home to Day One, a center for expecting and pregnant parents. Jos. A. Bank, which signed a long-term deal, will be positioned one block from Broadway Plaza and Neiman Marcus, Pottery Barn, Tiffany & Co., Apple, Williams Sonoma and many boutiques, cafes, and dining.

NOPA Restaurant Group to Expand in San Francisco with New Concept
November 5, 2013 – Chris Homs with Terranomics Retail Services represented restaurateurs Jeff Hanak, Allyson Jossel, and Ravi Kapur in the lease of a 5,000 square foot single tenant building at 871 Sutter Street in the city’s up and coming lower Nob Hill. Jeff and Allyson, co-owners of the famed Nopa and Nopalito restaurants in San Francisco has partnered with Chef Ravi Kapur of the celebrated LihoLiho Yacht Club and on a joint venture to create a new concept. This will be his fourth restaurant. The team plans a spring 2014 opening.

Noodles & Company Enters South Bay Market Targeting Apple’s Backyard
November 5, 2013 – Sharon Carmichael and Michael Seigel with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Noodles & Co. in the lease of 2,775 square feet of prime street front retail positioned in front of Target on Stevens Creek Boulevard in a strip owned by HK Investments. Founded in 1995, Noodles & Co. completed their IPO earlier this summer and is one of the fastest-growing, upscale fast casual restaurant companies in the Country, now with 345 locations in 26 U.S. states and Washington D.C.

Expanding Central Computers Plugging in to Pleasanton Square Shopping Center
November 5, 2013 – Todd Oliver and Trish Gonsalvez with Terranomics Retail Services represented landlord Pleasanton Square Partners II in the lease of 4,538 square feet of end cap space at the Pleasanton Square Shopping Center to Central Computers. Pleasanton Square is located at Hopyard Road and Johnson Drive  at the juncture of Interstate 580 & 680. It is anchored by Home Depot, Smart & Final, and BevMo. According to its web site, Central Computers, which is expanding its business around the Bay Area, will be opening at Pleasanton Square in late November to early December.

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt Scoops Up New Location at Target-Anchored Rocklin Commons
November 5, 2013 – Blair Wheatley and James Teare, SCLS with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt in the lease of 1,200 square feet of inline space at the new Rocklin Commons shopping center in Rocklin (Sacramento Valley). Menchie’s is scheduled to open in fall 2014. Owned and developed by Donahue Schiber, the new Target-anchored Rocklin Commons will be located at Interstate 80 at Sierra College Boulevard.  Menchie’s is an award winning franchise, serving more than 350 locations around the world, with another more than 350 stores in further development.

Massage Envy Spinoff, The Joint..the Chiropractic Place, Opening Soon at Pinole Valley Shopping Center
November 5, 2013 – Jennifer Hibbitts and John Schaefer with Terranomics Retail Services represented property owner Stockbridge Capital Group in the lease of 1,052 square feet of inline space to The Joint…a Chiropractic Place at the Pinole Valley Shopping Center. The Joint, which offers both memberships and individual sessions, is an affordable chiropractic clinic started by the founder of Massage Envy. The Joint will be opening at Pinole Valley Shopping Center in a few months. Pinole Valley Shopping Center is located at Interstate 80 and Pinole Valley Road and is anchored by Walgreen’s and Trader Joe’s.
