TMG Partners Signs Salumeria Restaurant to Hamm’s Building on Bryant Street

From the creators of Flour + Water: Second Salumeria Restaurant to Open in September

SAN FRANCISCO (July 8, 2013) – TMG Partners, one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s largest mixed-use property developers, signed a lease with Salumeria, a deli and larder from the Ne Timeas Restaurant Group, to the lobby space of the Hamm’s Building at 1550 Bryant Street.

The Hamm’s Building is currently undergoing extensive renovations to bring the former brewery back to its industrial roots. The exterior will feature a renovated brick façade, new steel windows, and industrial-style entrance canopy. Inside will boast custom-designed steel light fixtures, polished concrete floors, mahogany wood paneling, and a new penthouse and roof deck complete with fire pit and dramatic city views.

“Salumeria will enrich the vitality of both the Hamm’s Building and the immediate area of the Mission District,” said Adam Chall, a partner with TMG Partners. “The food program will be an exciting addition to the lobby of this iconic property. The Hamm’s Building was already an amazing environment in which to work, and it just got better.”

Salumeria marries the traditions of the old world with the food culture of San Francisco. This second location will offer artfully crafted espresso drinks and a rotating menu of artisanal and seasonally inspired sandwiches, salads, soups, and antipasti. The menu has been creatively crafted by Ne Timeas’ Executive Chef, James Beard Award-nominated Thomas McNaughton, as well as Chef de cuisine Ryan Pollnow.

The location’s wine and beer program will feature both Italian and Californian wines, and beers, including, of course, Hamm’s Beer.

In addition to its lunch and happy hour menus, it offers a curated selection of cheeses, oils, wines, and other luxury retail items; and a pasta program featuring fresh and extruded pastas from sister Ne Timeas establishment flour + water.

“We are dedicated to curating a special experience for our customers; sourcing the freshest, organic products we can find,” said Chef Thomas McNaughton, a 2013 James Beard Foundation Rising Star finalist and executive chef at the Ne Timeas Restaurant Group. “The Hamm’s Building is a great environment for Salumeria. Both the building and the neighborhood provide an excellent backdrop for the food and the overall experience.”

Over the past year, more than 20 new leases have been signed at the Hamm’s Building including Asana, founded by Facebook founder Dustin Moskovitz, and Rdio, backed by Skype founder Janus Friis.
