OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 10, 2017 – Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP, the largest law firm in the East Bay representing businesses throughout the Bay Area and state, welcomes attorney Candace Neal as an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. Neal joins the firm from Reed Smith LLP.

Neal has five years of experience in real estate matters and civil litigation, including commercial and residential real estate transactions for new developments and improvements and resolution of condemnation, land use and zoning issues. Having spent a year working onsite with a major retailer’s in-house legal real estate team, she brings industry experience to the firm’s well-established retail leasing practice. Neal also has notable litigation experience handling real estate and complex business disputes, including breach of contract, unfair competition and negligence. She is a member of the East Bay Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women Network, and she is a mentor for the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity. Neal sits on the board of directors for the Center for Youth Development Through Law, and she serves as the secretary for the Black Women Lawyers of Northern California.
Neal earned both her J.D. (2012) and B.A. (2007) from the University of California, Berkeley.
