Sacramento Valley Sheet Metal Training Center Purchases Larger Building

Sacramento, Calif. (March 3, 2015) – Colliers International’s Senior Vice President and SIOR, Tom Tyer, has assisted the Northern California Valley Sheet Metal Training Center in the purchase of 3665 Bleckely Street, a 25,363 SF building in Mather, CA for $1.25M. The purchase comes after the Training Center listed their current building located at 1624 Silica Avenue for sale. Their original building was built in the 1970’s, dedicated to sheet metal, heating and air conditioning training. The new, +10,000 SF larger facility, will be able to accommodate the growing Apprenticeship Program here in Sacramento.

“This deal has been years in the making. We have toured several facilities over the span of ten years and finally found the right building. Interesting enough, my father was involved in the construction of the Northern California Valley Sheet Metal Training Center’s original building at Silica Avenue. And now, over 40 years later, I am involved in their expansion. It’s great to see union businesses thriving after decades and still devoted to Sacramento.” – Tom Tyer, SIOR, Colliers International.

“It would have been easy for any broker to walk away, as the process of finding just the right building lasted nearly ten years. We were in need of a larger facially to accommodate our growth, but wanted to find a location and size that fit our needs. Tom stuck with this organization until we found the right building and we are thrilled to continue our involvement within this industry.”
– Robert Verdugo, Northern California Valley Sheet Metal Training Center.

3665 Bleckely Street was listed by Nahz Anvary and Jim Gray of DTZ.
