Largest Western U.S. Mechanical Engineering Firm Retains Former CEO as Board Chairman; Forecasts Continued Growth Under New Leadership Structure
SAN LEANDRO/GLENDALE, Calif., Nov. 15, 2016 – ACCO Engineered Systems (ACCO), an employee-owned family of companies dedicated to the design, fabrication, installation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, process piping, electrical and building automation systems, announces the election of Jeffrey R. Marrs as president and CEO, effective Jan. 2, 2017. Marrs, a 33-year firm veteran, was most recently president of ACCO’s Mechanical Construction Group. He succeeds John Aversano, who served in the role for 25 years and remains board chairman.

Marrs has spent his entire professional career at ACCO. Since joining as a design engineer in 1983, he has progressed through the company ranks and has been involved in all facets of its diversified operations. Marrs has held multiple positions at ACCO, including serving on its Board of Directors, chairing its Operations Committee and serving on its Ethics Committee. He received his B.S. in environmental engineering fromCalifornia Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1983, and has been a licensed professional mechanical engineer since 1986.
