Colliers International brokered two lease transactions totalling over ±210,000 square feet in San Leandro.
Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. (www.ferguson.com), one of the largest distributors of commercial and residential plumbing supplies in the US, has just completed a long term lease with Prologis at 1936 Fairway Drive in San Leandro. The wholesale supplier with be expanding its operations into a ±157,324 square foot freestanding, Class A warehouse/distribution facility situated on ±6.62 acres. In addition to their new warehouse, Ferguson has leased the contiguous ±5.8 acre parcel for their laydown yard located at 1938 Fairway Drive in San Leandro. This facility will be the company’s largest distribution hub in the region.
Owned by Prologis, 1936 Fairway Drive is a unique facility in the marketplace as it offers a substantial amount of secured yard. The property has superior freeway access to I-880 via the Marina Boulevard interchange and is in close proximity to the Oakland International Airport and Port of Oakland. It boasts ±7,800 SF of office space, including separate shipping/receiving offices, 19 dock-high doors, 2 oversized grade-level doors and exceptional warehouse clear height. Corporate neighbours include Fedex Ground, Kaiser Permanente, Michelin Tire and Coca-Cola.
This transaction represents the largest new industrial lease completed in San Leandro year-to-date and the second largest lease completed overall this year.

Ferguson Enterprises’ new facility on Fairway was previously occupied by St. George Logistics of Oakland, Inc. (www.stgusa.com) as their regional distribution center. St. George is one of the nation’s top providers of transportation, distribution and Ocean & Air cargo freight services with one of the largest network of independent warehouses operating in close proximity to all major ports and metropolitan areas throughout the country. The logistics services company relocated their operations to 1500 Doolittle Drive in San Leandro, a ±52,800 SF Warehouse facility which is also owned by Prologis. Greig Lagomarsino and Nick Ousman of Colliers International’s Oakland office along with David Kim of Colliers International’s Los Angeles office represented the tenant and Jason Ovadia and Patrick Metzger of JLL represented the landlord in this transaction. Altogether, Prologis leased more than ±210,000 square feet of buildings between these two transactions in San Leandro.
